Auditions will be hosted on August 22 and 23 in Spaulding Recital Hall, which is in basement of Alden Hall. Auditions are required for those looking to play with WPI Jazz Groups for the first time or those looking to move to a different group.
Audition requirements are as follows:
- A couple major scales + Bb and F concert blues scales
- Prepared jazz piece of your choice
- Short sight-reading
- Improvised solo over 12-bar blues in a key of your choice or jazz standard of your choice
- Range check for brass players
